The Carrot Cake is amazing - everyone at work wants the recipe. Extremely moist, really quick to make. I think you could halve the icing though - I had lots left over to eat... :-)

Without doubt your website has some of the best recipes on the net. There are THOUSANDS of sites with great recipes but so many have flaws - unlike yours!!!

I have not followed one of your recipes to date where I have been disappointed with the result.

Every recipe is easy to follow and tastes brilliant.

Thankyou!

We will try adapting the blueberry muffin recipe to include apple and cinnamon (leaving out the blueberries). We'll let you know how they turn out.

This is the perfect website. I have looked for something like this for months and have bought numerous cookery books to find only a few recipies worth using. Just made the chicken crepes and they were delicious.Everything looks so great. Will you have any salad or barbeque recipes for summer?

Thank you for a wonderful website. I made Apple pie and Beef & red wine pie for my hubby. He loves them. He doesn't beleive that the Asian girl like me can do the perfect Aussie dishes. I told him that I got all the recipe from this website. So..there are a lot of dishes awaiting for me to explore! Thanks again.

By the way, do you have the recipe of "Apple turnover with creme"? Appreciated your suggestion, thank you in advance.

We are pleased that you have had success with our recipes. Unfortunately, we don't currently have a recipe for apple turnover with cream.

We will be adding some more salad recipes for summer.

hello!
I've been baking these sweet recipes from your website for a while now and they are an absolute SENSATION - easy to follow, absolutely delicious, and of course beautifully presented with those wonderful photos.

My three little sibblings and parents are incredibly indebted to the two of you!!!

The strawberry/raspberry white chocolate muffins are a hit, as are the chunky choc cookies, the condensed milk slice, the pear and pecan crumble cake and the pecan loaf...

Just wondering whether you have any healthier alternative recipes that I could try out? Our family is kind of big on the whole 'organic' and low sugar low gluten low fat etc etc etc.

Cheers, and keep baking!!!

Although the recipes sound delicious, i am unable to use them, as they do not appear to have preparation and cooking timings. As i only have an hour and a half each friday to cook, i cannot use some of the recipes i would enjoy to make, in my Food Technology course. Great website though, and extremely easy to use!

I use your recipes all the times and have not had a failure yet. The only problem I have is that you tend to use expensive chocolate and I can only afford to use compound cooking chocolate. Does this affect the taste or quality dramtically?

30/5/08 12:50 PM
Blogger Amanda & Debbie said...

We can notice a significant difference between a cake, biscuit or slice made with compound chocolate and one made with eating chocolate or good quality cooking chocolate. Because chocolate is expensive, we try to purchase a number of blocks when it is on special.

If you like the flavour and texture of compound chocolate, then you could certainly use it in our recipes.

In recipes where the chocolate is not melted and combined with other ingredients, you could try reducing the amount of chocolate used. For example, our chocolate caramel slice recipe specifies 150g of chocolate for the topping. Rather than use compound chocolate, we would use a smaller amount (say, 50g) of a nice dark chocolate and drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel layer instead of completely covering it.
